Located near scenic Woburn Bay in the south of the island, the Mt. Hartman Dove Sanctuary awaits with mystery and adventure. This 154-acre property was declared a national park to protect the endangered Grenada Dove which is endemic to Grenada. A visitor centre operated by the Forestry Department of Grenada welcomes guests to the property with a guide that can accompany you on the parks’ trails and take you to spot the Grenada Dove (Leptotila Wellsi). Mt. Hartman receives low rainfall annually which contributes to a special dry thorn scrub ecosystem including cactus shrub and coastal woodland. The area is also home to beautiful mangrove Habitats which supports diverse life in the park.
