The smallest of Grenada’s populated islands showcases its big personality during the month of May in the Petite Martinique Whitsuntide Regatta. The majority of the island’s population depend on the sea for their livelihoods and the regatta celebrates this fact with traditional wooden boat racing. Prizes are always up for the grabs but bragging rights are most important to the race crew.
