St. George’s, Grenada – May 14, 2024 The Grenada Tourism Authority proudly announces the premiere of “The Fortune Hotel,” an 8 episode  reality television series shot against the glorious backdrop of Grenada at the Silversands Grand Anse resort  Each episode is one hour and runs from May 13 to July 1 on ITV and ITVX in the UK, Grenada’s second largest source market for visitation.  Each episode is expected to attract approximately 4 million viewers.

In this gloriously high-stakes game, 20 contestants try to win £250,000 by passing around a briefcase full of cash as tension builds while each pair tries to uncover who has which case by playing compelling challenges across the length and breadth of Grenada, allowing viewers of ‘The Fortune Hotel’ an up close look at the stunning landscapes and vibrant cultural set pieces, throughout Grenada during these thrilling challenges.

The popularity of reality shows has increased significantly and offers a new model for tourism and destination marketing. ‘The Fortune Hotel’ serves as a powerful marketing tool, enticing travellers to experience the magic of Grenada firsthand.

Grenada was up against 3 other Caribbean islands as the location, so we were thrilled when Tuesdays Child the production company advised that they had chosen us.  The value of this production is significant as it is literally a free 8 hour advertisement for Grenada, showcasing our lush landscapes, beautiful beaches and warm and friendly people.”

Over 100 production team and crew were based on Grenada for an 8 week period, fostering employment and training opportunities for upcoming Grenadian creatives.
