The Dive and Conservation Festival takes place from October 26th to November 1st, 2026, showcasing Grenada and Carriacou as premier destinations for diving, marine conservation and sustainable tourism.
The week-long festival features guided dives to some of Grenada and Carriacou’s most captivating dive sites, giving participants the chance to experience the islands’ vibrant marine ecosystems firsthand. Complementing these activities is the “Conservation Conversations” speaker series, bringing together experts, researchers and conservation advocates whose work contributes to Grenada’s reputation as an eco-conscious diving destination.
This year features two Conservation Conversations sessions. On Wednesday, October 28th, a session for students of all ages covers sea moss farming, coral cleaning, how diving works, and the role young people can play — dive and conservation enthusiasts are also welcome for a small donation ($5 students / $10 adults). On Friday, October 30th, a second session open to everyone focuses on what local conservation groups are doing to preserve Grenada for the future.
Festival Agenda
Monday 26th — Opening Ceremony, Carriacou
The 2026 festival officially begins in Carriacou, celebrating the island’s remarkable marine environment and strong commitment to sustainable tourism, welcoming divers, conservationists, local communities and visitors for a day highlighting Carriacou’s vibrant reefs, rich biodiversity and conservation initiatives.
Tuesday 27th — Morning Dive in Carriacou
Explore iconic dive sites such as World Adrift Sculpture Park and Sisters Rock, and learn about Carriacou’s ongoing coral restoration, reef monitoring and community-led conservation efforts.
Wednesday 28th — Conservation Conversations
All students welcome. Learn about sea moss farming, coral restoration and reef rehabilitation, and the fundamentals of scuba diving. Donations: $5 per student, $10 per adult — proceeds go to the Coral Reef Foundation.
Thursday 29th — Bird Watching, Woburn Mangrove Reserve
Discover Grenada’s diverse birdlife and ongoing mangrove restoration efforts within the Woburn-Clarks Court Bay Marine Protected Area.
Friday 30th — Conservation Conversations, Continued
Learn about the organizations working to protect Grenada’s environment, from sea turtle protection to bird conservation, and how to get involved.
Saturday 31st — Beach Clean Up
Join us on Grand Anse Beach and play your part in keeping the island clean.
Sunday 1st — Closing Ceremony
Relax, unwind and share your experiences as we celebrate a week of conservation, connection and unforgettable dives.
Dives are done every morning — some shops may also offer afternoon dives.
