Thank you for choosing Pure Grenada, the Spice of the Caribbean as your next vacation destination. We hope the below step-by-step guide, including links to official sources of information, helps you plan, book and safely enjoy your escape to paradise here in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
Familiarize yourself with the entry requirements and health protocols implemented by the Government of Grenada: https://covid19.gov.gd. These regulations are under constant review and may change with short notice, so do check the aforementioned website frequently as you plan your trip.
Effective July 31, 2021, all travellers entering Grenada are required to be fully vaccinated. This new requirement does not apply to citizens and residents of Grenada or persons 13 years and under. Travellers 6 years and over must present their negative RT-PCR test on arrival in Grenada.
Fully vaccinated travellers quarantine for up to 48 hours at their approved accommodation whilst awaiting the results of their PCR test. If unvaccinated, travellers will be required to quarantine for up to seven days and will have their PCR test done on day five at their quarantine accommodation.
Persons 13 years and under travelling with a fully vaccinated party will also benefit from the reduced quarantine period of up to 48 hours. Children over 14 years who are unvaccinated will be required to quarantine for up to 7 days with their travel party.
A Pure Safe Travel Authorization Certificate is needed by each traveller including children arriving in Grenada from December 1, 2020. To be granted the authorization you must register online, upload confirmation of an accommodation booking for a minimum of seven nights. Find full details here.
With the new Airport testing options, the travel authorization is granted without uploading the negative PCR test, however, you must check in at the airport with confirmation of the negative COVID-19 PCR test result.
All arrivals are required to hold proof of a confirmed reservation at a Ministry of Health Pure Safe Travel approved accommodation for a minimum of seven nights. This is to enable a period of observation and quarantine.
If your stay in Grenada is less than five days, you must remain at your accommodation throughout your time in Grenada.
Visit the Ministry of Health Accommodation Listing to choose your certified quarantine accommodation.
Upon exiting your aircraft at the Maurice Bishop International Airport you must comply with Government of Grenada protocols. Wear a facemask or face-covering, adhere to physical distancing and use hand sanitizer upon entering the airport terminal. The first people you’ll meet are Health Officials who will process your entry paperwork: you are required to present a hard copy of your Pure Safe Travel Authorization Certificate and proof of your negative PCR test results.
You may then proceed to Immigration, baggage collection and Customs before exiting the airport terminal.
Head to the Grenada Airports Authority transportation dispatch desk where all transfers to accommodation are handled. Visitors are transferred directly to their approved accommodation by a Pure Safe Travel accredited vehicle and driver.
All travellers to the destination will be tested on day 5, whether entering the community or not. If your stay is under five days, you must remain at your accommodation for the duration of your stay in Grenada.
In order to enter the community you must take a PCR test on day five of your stay and receive a negative result. Day 1 starts the day after your arrival in Grenada. This test is undertaken at your accommodation by Health Officials at the visitor’s cost.
Fully vaccinated travellers will only be required to quarantine for 48 hours, pending a negative PCR test on entry.
Upon clearance by a Ministry of Health official, you’re free to enter the community and discover the islands’ attractions and amenities. Click the tab below for a full list of Pure Safe Travel Approved Tourism Services.
When using tourism services, look for the Pure Safe Travel Approved Stamp of the Grenada Tourism Authority and certification from the Ministry of Health. The World Travel and Tourism Council has approved our tourism protocols for ‘Safe travels’.
