Established in 1999, The Marine & Yachting Association of Grenada (MAYAG) is a non-profit organization maintained by the marine industry of Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique.
MAYAG works with the Grenada Government and all associated interests to promote and develop the marine industry to the benefit of Grenada, Carriacou & Petit Martinique, particularly in the areas of education, marketing, the legal and regulatory framework, the environment and security. This includes the Royal Grenada Police Force, Grenada Ports Authority, Grenada Board of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, National Training Agency and many others. As the marine industry has grown since 1999, it’s membership has increased to around 40 businesses – marinas, boatyards, yacht charter, yachts services, chandleries, and specialist marine technical suppliers.
MAYAG is associated with the Grenada Hotel & Tourism Association, Grenada Dive Association, and the Caribbean-wide Caribbean Marine Association. MAYAG publishes a Yachting and Watersports guide with information on marine services and facilities. This is available free of charge at Ports of Entry and MAYAG member businesses, and online.
Feedback and suggestions from visiting yachts are always welcome, as are comments from local businesses and individuals.
