St. George’s, Grenada – 24th September, 2018 – Pure Grenada, the Spice of the Caribbean opened its 2018/2019 cruise ship season with an inaugural visit form the Carnival Breeze. The large cruise ship has a capacity of 4,428 passengers and 1,386 crew members.

Mr. Donald visited on Wednesday (19th September) after being invited to experience Grenada by Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Hon. Clarice Modeste-Curwen at the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Conference in Merida, Mexico.
The Tri Island Destination Trained Over One Hundred Frontline Customer Service Personnel

The training sessions took place over a three-day period (September 10-12) at the National Stadium Hospitality Centre.

The Government of Grenada is implementing a far-reaching Non Biodegradable Waste Control Act, which begins with the complete ban on the importation of polystyrene commonly referred to as ‘Styrofoam’ effective September 1, 2018.
St. George’s, Grenada – 23rd August, 2018 – The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) had projected an increase of 5.3% in the arrivals for Spice Mas Carnival 2018. This year’s arrivals surpassed all expectations with a 24.9% increase to 12,379 visitors compared to 9,911 in 2017.

The comprehensive travel agent university platform is a strategic endeavor utilized by the GTA to promote all the products of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. With the help of the newly implemented specialist rewards initiative, the platform seeks to incentivize the more than 20,000 registered trade professionals to become an extension of the destination’s marketing and sales team.
