Grenada Tourism Authority Engage Stakeholders in Carriacou & Petite Martinique

(St. George’s, Grenada) 6th February 2017—-On Friday January 20, 2017, a team led by the newly appointed CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority, Ms. Patricia Maher, visited the Sister Isles of Carriacou and Petite Martinique. The purpose of the visit was to officially introduce the CEO to stakeholders after her appointment to the position on 19th December, 2016. Additionally, the team shared their 2017 strategic plans in the areas of Product Development, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Nautical Development and Research and Statistics.

Grenada now has PR Representation in North America & the Caribbean

(St. George’s, Grenada) 13th December 2016 – The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) has hired US-based public relations agency, Cheryl Andrews Marketing Communications (CAMC) to promote Grenada’s tourism offerings in the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean. CAMC will be responsible for reaching potential visitors through public relations and communications tactics including storyline development, media outreach, and the management of social media influencer and blogger partnerships. Support also includes social media listening and the evaluation of media and activities.

The GTA appoints Patricia Maher as CEO

(St. George’s, Grenada) 29th November, 2016 – On Tuesday, chairman of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) Mr. Rodney George announced that Ms. Patricia Maher will be appointed as chief executive officer from the 19th December 2016. Ms. Maher’s role as CEO of the GTA will include the delivery of sustainable tourism and economic growth from key regional and international markets, and the development and execution of effective marketing strategies to increase the value of tourism in Grenada.

Rudy Grant concludes his tenure as CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority

(St. George’s, Grenada) 15th November, 2016 – On Monday afternoon, the Chairman of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) Mr. Rodney George informed managers and staff that Mr. Rudy Grant would be concluding his tenure as chief executive officer effective 2nd December, 2016. In his remarks the chairman thanked Mr. Grant for his professionalism and commitment to the development of the tourism industry.

(St. George’s, Grenada) 4th October, 2016 – Grenadians can holiday at home with discounts on accommodation, meals, vehicle rentals, island tours, and dives until 30th November 2016. The Staycation promotion by the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) and its stakeholders provides an opportunity for residents of Grenada to experience the tourism product while also promoting awareness of the islands’ tourism sector.

JetBlue adds fifth New York flight to Grenada in January 2017

(St. George’s, Grenada) 27th September, 2016 – Travellers between New York and Grenada will have the option to chose from five (5) nonstop flights per week starting in January 2017. JetBlue Airways is increasing its flight frequency to five times a week from the current four times weekly. Effective 9th January, 2017 JetBlue is adding a Monday flight to its weekly service on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. This Monday service will continue until 30th January and resume on 13th February, 2017 continuously.

Grenada added Spice to Canada’s Bridal Show

(St. George’s, Grenada) 20th September 2016 – Grenada added a touch of spice to Canada’s Bridal Show in Toronto from 9th to 11th September 2016 with its display of appealing romantic getaways and alluring scents of nutmeg and cinnamon. Ten thousand (10,000) patrons attended the show over the weekend, shopping for destination weddings and honeymoons. The Grenada Tourism Authority’s Director of Sales for Canada, Mr. Sekou Stroude directly interacted with brides-to-be accompanied by their family and friends and soon-to-be wedded couples.
